Well I guess you have to look no further for my aunt: Cyndia Davis. I have no way of posting an up to date photo cause I’m new to this, and just happen to see all this. This is my dad’s baby sister. It’s true she kept out of the spotlight,but did infact do productions on a few commented movies as well some cameo shots. She is still beautiful as ever,even at her age. She does want to come out to a talk show and speak of her out-take on acting. She is alive and still kicking!!!!!

Cooley High is one of the best comming of age movies of all time! I’m 39 yrs old, I saw this movie yrs ago and it never left me. I love the fact that Alica Keys paid tribute to Cooley High in her video You Don’t Know My Name…the video also featured Mos Def. I am also one of the thousands of people that would love to know what Cythia Davis (Brenda) is doing now!

Cynthia Davis (my aunt) and her children are doing well. We all live in Ohio. I wanna post a family photo or up to date photo on here,but not familar with this site. I’ve responded to every site asking questions about my aunt. I visit with her everyday.

Loved Cynthia Davis in Cooley High and wondered, like apparently a lot of people, what happened to her. I started to look figuring Wikipedia, if no other site, would provide some information, but alas nothing. Anyway good luck in your search. Preach’s other girlfriend, the one who literally and figuratively “stiffed” him in the hallway make-out session and later slept with Cochise, was pretty cute too. Lastly, I saw Cooley High when it came out and I just watched it again on Youtube and I got to say that seeing Chicago – grew up there – the way it was back then really brought back memories.

Hi Edwin and thank you so much for being here and commenting. I read where Davis was in another movie, I fould it once and I will do another search. People have said she is in Michigan. Glynn Turman (Preach) went on to become a big Hollywood star and he was married to my cousin Aretha Franklin.

Just got through watching “Cooley High” and I must say that Cynthia Davis definately caught my eye with her looks; didn’t care much for her acting though. From what the credits say, she is married with (at the time) three children. With professional lessons, she could have continued on as a very successful actress/actor.

Garret Morris did not play in “Lean On Me” and neither did Robert Townsend play in “Cooley High”. Cynthia Davis is one fine woman though. I fell in love with her at the same time “Preach” di in 1975. In 1991 Cynthia Davis was the Assistant Director to a film called ” Driving Me Crazy”, in 1991 she was the production assistant in “Rock N’ Roll High School Forever” the location assistant in House Party 2 in the same year. I would love to see her make another movie appearance or television appearance. She is just as beautiful as Lonette McKee if not more beautiful. Come sis, the entertainment needs more natural beauty like yours.

Hi Timm, Thanks for being here and commenting Robert Townsend was in Cooley High (Uncredited) He was a basketball player and Garrett Morris played Mr. Mason he was the teacher. I agree with you that Cynthia should re-enter acting.

It was like Cynthia Davis just faded back into obscurity after “Cooley High” and not doing another film. Then again, the young people of today will not remember her because they think about actresses like Zoe Saldana, Megan Goode, Bianca Lawson, etc.
