SAN FRANCISCO –  Singer Jessica Simpson ex boyfriend is now married to former Miss Missouri Candace Crawford.    Jessica’s ex  husband Nick Lachey is engaged to Vanessa Minnillo.   Simpson and Lachey seem to have been doing okay until they did that reality show and that’s when the cookie started to crumble in their marriage.  Simpson does not look happy at all,  she seems to be looking for love in all the wrong places and it looks as if  she is in love with love.  She does not have to rush down the altar just because Lachey is doing so, he is not married at the moment, so who knows, she might can get her man back.

Where is Fame’s Winner Harlem Lee aka Gerry Woo (Videos)

I use to watch Gerry Woo on a local  TV show in Detroit and I said “What a voice!”   Woo would sing “Dancing In The Street”  by Martha and the Vandellas”, he looked a lot younger than he was but week after week Woo would win the contest. Years later Harlem Lee emerged on the hit show hosted by Debbie Allen. Although, Woo was the winner, however, Johnny Wright showed no interest in Woo. Wright had all eyes on another singer, Shannon Bex who was a carbon image of Britney Spears. Singer Carnie Wilson was Woo’s biggest supporter,  she was there for him all the way.

Woo can sing,  growing up in Detroit listening to the Motown Sound gave him the discipline singers need.  Once he won on Fame that was it,  he should have climbed the R&B Charts. I do not know if being Asian had something to do with it because they did not know how to market him.

I wish Woo would come back and give it another try with someone who cares, plus will give him the attention he deserves. He needs someone like Clive Davis who knows what he’s doing and what it will take to get him on the Charts with a bullet…

Actor / Director/ D’urville Martin  B:February 11, 1939  D: May 28, 1984

Actor/ Director D’urville Martin was born February 11, 1939 in New York.  I have the extreme honor of knowing Mr. Martin,  he was one of those entertainers who recognized a fan and was very appreciative.  When I met him the first thing he said “Thank You For Being My Fan”, I invited Mr. Martin to speak in one of my college classes and he was all to happy to do so, my classmates were in shock when Mr. Martin walked in the classroom.

Prior to that Mr. Martin invited me and my father to the movie premiere of the movie he directed called “Dolemite” .  A lot of The Jeffersons fans may not know it but,  Mr. Martin was the first  Lionel Jefferson on “All In The Family”.  He opened the doors for black actors in the 70’s. He was in major film productions which includes Rosemary’s Baby, Black Like Me, and Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner.

Mr. Martin was a sweet, talented man who cared about his family and fans.  Had Mr. Martin lived he would have been 72 years young, he’s been gone for 27 years yet his memory will live forever in Hollywood,  he died much too young at the tender age of 45.  Gone Too Soon.  I’m sure Mr. Martin would have won an Academy Award for directing films. Thank you Mr. Martin for helping young black actors enter the door of Hollywood which still remains tightly closed, however, he gave that door a nice kick. Most of all I have to thank him for acknowledging his fans and was all to happy to give an autograph!   Mr. Martin deserves to be honored with a star on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Hollywood along with being honored at the NAACP Image Awards for his accomplishments and so that his fans, friends, and most of all his family can witness the joy of his hard work.   He left behind a beautiful wife Mrs. Lillian Martin, a sweet loving daughter Kala Alisa Martin and a handsome son Jacques D’urville Martin who Mr. Martin told me Jacques was named after his god father Actor Raymond St. Jacques.

Amy Winehouse Returns To Rehab

By: De De Tillman

SAN FRANCISCO –  Singer Amy Winehouse has said “Yes Yes Yes to Rehab.  Winehouse is scheduled to go on tour soon. It’s great to see that she realizes help is needed.  Earlier Winehouse said she wanted to start a family and purchase a country-style home away from the city.  This is a major step in the right direction, hopefully Winehouse will continue with professional help so that her dream of having a family will come true. It’s going to be a long hard battle for her, however, she is doing the right thing,  she must first take care of  herself before bringing children into the world.

I wish Amy all the best so that she can get back on the road and start touring, in addition, she needs to surround herself with positive people who will take her by the hand and pull her up. Winehouse will be okay when she is able to say “NO” to any substance abuse.  The key to staying clean and sober is not starting.

Scottie Pippen Said LeBron Is Better Than Jordan

By: De De Tillman

SAN FRANCISCO –  Former NBA Chicago Bull’s Star Hall Of Famer Scottie Pippen had the audacity to say that Miami Heat LeBron James “may be the greatest player to ever play the game” on ESPN Radio’s “Mike and Mike in the Morning.  Once the fans blasted Pippen for making a ridiculous statement he then took it back and tried to clean it up. This is what I was talking about on one of my past blogs called ” Two-Faced Celebrities” and now I can add Pippen to the list.

I am not a Michael Jordan fan, however, Pippen should have never disrespected Jordan.  Jordan has rings, If  James won today it will still take him 6 years to catch Jordan.  Pippen said LeBron James  “may be the greatest player to ever play the game.”  I wonder if Pippen ever heard the  name Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Walt Frasier, and I guess Pippen never heard the name Bill Russell and more.  Pippen does not have to like Jordan, however,  he must not disrespect him either. If he said something he should not have back track to clean it up,  Pippen must have meant it or he would not have said it.

James will play the Dallas Mavs 5 /31 /11 Tuesday night in Game 1  for the chance at the NBA Championship.
