Seoul’s underage Little Monsters were out of luck earlier this week when Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way Ball” concert became an adults-only event.
According to the BBC, a small group of Christians staged a rally outside the South Korean capitol’s Olympic Stadium ahead of the performance. Activists in Seoul had been protesting the concert for a week, calling the 26-year-old’s music and performances “obscene,” with the potential to “taint” young people.
One group calling itself the Civilians Network against the Lady Gaga Concert said her show was “too homosexual and pornographic.”
Rev. Yoon Jung-hoon, who organized the group, told Reuters the Christian Council of Korea “will take all measures such as boycotting Hyundai Card [a sponsor of Gaga’s tour] to root out this kind of obscene culture.”
Joon attended the concert to “monitor” the performance for homosexual content.
Gaga is an advocate for gay rights and empowering people of all sexual orientations. “I can hear you, Korea,” the pop star tweeted Thursday night. “I’m shaking.”

A Mexican woman is pregnant with nine babies – six girls and three boys – the country’s main broadcaster Televisa reported on Thursday night.
The woman was identified as Karla Vanessa Perez of the northeastern state of Coahuila, which borders Texas. She is currently being treated at a hospital in the state capital Saltillo, the broadcaster said in the report.
Perez, whose age was not given, had fertility treatment leading to the multiple pregnancy, it said.
State-owned news agency Notimex also reported the pregnancy, saying Perez was due to give birth on May 20.
“It’s very early to think of names for the babies,” Perez told Notimex. “First I hope that everything goes well.”
The successful delivery of nonuplets would be one of the highest multiple births ever recorded.
In 2009, a woman in California gave birth to octuplets, sparking worldwide media attention.
Apparently, there are some really die-hard Demi Lovato fans south of the border.
The singer-actress wanted to do something nice for kids who attended her concert last night in Paraguay by letting them move a little closer to the stage.
Alas, what she didn’t count on was getting mobbed!
After gesturing for folks in the wings to come on up, a bunch of screaming girls and boys surged forward, prompting the 19-year-old Lovato to shout, “You guys gotta be safe though.”
Seconds later, a young woman ran up and hugged her. As security tried to separate her from the Sonny Without a Chance star, a bunch of male fans joined the melee, though Lovato managed to get away and head off stage.
Eventually, order was restored, Lovato returned and the show went on with the pop sensation performing another tune, the crowd gleefully singing along.
According to ENTV, Demi Lovato has some die hard fans out there – But the crowd at her concert in Paraguay last night might take the cake. It all started when the pop star had the barricades brought down in front of the stage so the kids could get a little closer – big mistake! Lovato was rushed to safety and later returned to the stage to continue her performance.
Kim Hyun Joong is set to break the record by any performing artist in Singapore by offering the closest interaction with his audience during his mini-concert on May 4.
Originally, only 500 lucky fans would be picked to high-five with him through a ballot. However, Kim Hyun Joong has personally requested to extend this to everyone in attendance, meaning a whopping 3000 fans will now get the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the star! This is an unprecedented gesture from a pop idol.
High-five sessions are normally private sessions that are open to only a small group of fans as part of the fan-meeting package. Fans would either pay a premium fee to enjoy the chance for interaction with their favorite artiste or pray that their lady luck shines on them brightly for them to be picked through a lucky draw.
However, Kim Hyun Joong has taken this a step further by expressing his wish to high-five every single member of the audience.
“This is a very special request we’ve received, which proves Kim Hyun Joong’s immense devotion to his fans. We are glad that fans in Singapore will get a very personal touch – pun intended – with Kim Hyun Joong; but we’re also excited that all members in the audience will be part of a record-breaking moment,” says Wendy Ng, Executive Producer of Running Into The Sun.
On top of that, Kim Hyun Joong will also be giving away to everyone in the audience one set of the U:ZOOSIN T-shirt and brooch, a cartoon avatar created by Kim Hyun Joong himself. These will be specially made for his fan meeting tour. U:ZOOSIN has sold 50,000 units in Korea alone, boasting approximately USD1,900,000 in sales.
“Kim Hyun Joong 2012 Asia Fan Meeting in Singapore” will showcase more than 10 songs and interactive segments in a two-hour show. Premiere seats, which are seats closest to the stage, have completely sold out. However, fans may still purchase good seats from the Arena and Terrace categories through SISTIC. This fan-meeting will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 4. “Kim Hyun Joong Asia Fan Meeting 2012 Singapore” is brought to you by official card UOB Cards, and organized by Running Into The Sun and AMC Group Singapore
