The members of Ladies’ Code returned to the stage for the first time as they remembered the late members EunB and RiSe who passed away in a car accident last September.

Held on August 22nd, the memorial concert was intended to fulfill the wishes of the late members who had dreams to perform in Japan. After recovering from their injuries from the accident, Ashley, Sojung, and Zuny gathered their courage to sing in front of a supportive audience.

Although the three tried to show their smiles, the scars from the accident are obvious as they were seen wiping off their tears as RiSe and EunB appeared in a VCR played in the background.

The members also gave their individual speeches, where leader Ashley held back tears while addressing their fans in Japanese. Sojung also hoped that Ladies’ Code will be remembered forever as a 5-member group and hoped that their song “Smile Even If It Hurts” will reach RiSe and EunB.

Other performing artists at the memorial concert included Kim Bum Soo, YDG (Yang Dong Geun), IvyRumble FishSun Woo, and Han Hee Jun.

On April of 2015, a woman was indicted of rape charges for the first time in Korean history. The woman referred to as Jeon was taken into court and sent to jail after allegedly raping her 51-year-old boyfriend. However, on August 22nd the courts ruled to acquit Jeon of her charges after a jury’s unanimous decision after a 15-hour deliberation.

The court stated, “It is hard to take the prosecutors claims that he took a drink from Jeon without any suspicion even when he knew that she had obsessions towards him and he had a history of falling unconscious previously after accepting a drink from her. Also the prosecutor claimed to have attempted to resist rape from Jeon after taking the drink but Zolpidem, the drug she used, renders one unable to move and makes it impossible for one affected to remember things properly.”

They also acquitted Jeon of wielding a hammer against the victim. The court stated, “The victim claimed that ‘Jeon threatened and wielded a hammer and he felt so threatened and scared that he urinated on the blanket he was on.’ But according to the police report, the injury on the head was minimal and the hospital report does not mention hammers at all.”

According to Korea Times‘ report, Jeon had admitted to drugging her boyfriend, tying him up, as well as yielding a hammer as she feared for her life. She had no intentions of raping him and he has had assaulted in the past. Her lawyer says that since meeting him in 2010 – who was married to another woman – Jeon has been the victim of abuse.

The court unanimously decided to acquit Jeon of all charges.

Korean actress Ha Ji Won (38) and Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin (32 international age) have been speculated to be in a romantic relationship. However, their respective agencies have responded to these rumors.

The two have been seen posting similar Instagram posts, one with the same painting of a guy kissing a girl, a selca with a cat, a telescopic image of the sun, and a picture from the galaxy. However, to note, the posts with striking resemblance were uploaded nowhere within the same time period.

Most recently, Chen Bolin also dedicated an Instagram post supporting Ha Ji Won’s ongoing Korean drama, The Time We Were Not In Love, captioning it “7000 days, I’m anticipating it.” There is also a high possibility that Ha Ji Won might partner with Chen Bolin in an upcoming Korean-Chinese movie, Risking Life For Love.

The actress and the actor are labelmates in both South Korea and Taiwan. Chen Bolin signed with BM+ Entertainment to further Korean activities while Ha Ji Won signed with Invincible Plan to aid her venture into Taiwan, both of which happened just this year.

However, Ha Ji Won’s agency Haewadal Entertainment has denied the relationship rumor and stated, “They are definitely not in a love relationship. Ha Ji Won’s photos which made it become a topic definitely do not have any connection with Chen Bolin.”

BM+ Entertainment also stated, “It is not true that they are in a love relationship. Ha Ji Won and Chen Bolin are not even personally acquainted.”
