Carla Ann Hughes is a former middle school teacher from Jackson, Mississippi, United States, who was convicted of two counts of capital murder for the November 29, 2006 slayings of her lover’s pregnant fiancee, Avis Banks, and Banks’s unborn child, According to Wikipedia.

An episode of “Forensic Files” grabbed my attention on Hughes. After watching the episode a 2nd time I am convinced Hughes “Did Not” Commit the crimes she’s accused of.

On the night of November 29, 2006, Avis Banks, a daycare worker, was found shot and stabbed to death in the garage of her Ridgeland, Mississippi home.[4] Her body was discovered by her fiance Keyon Pittman, and it appeared as if the perpetrator had kicked in their back door.[8] After discovering the body, Pittman called his co-worker Carla Hughes. According to, Wikipedia.

Hughes’ attorneys Brandon Dorsey and Johnnie Walls continued to deny everything. They called Keyon Pittman a “bona fide womanizer” who did not want to be married with a child.

Prosecutors rushed to have the case closed and by doing so an innocent women with a child of her own is serving life in prison.

Hughes is in need of a private investigator and criminal attorney.
