Malaysian actress Chris Tong Bingyu, who recently worked on new film with Chrissie Chau, was mugged while driving from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore recently.
TVB News World reported that a few nights ago, the actress was stopped by a few men, and then mugged her.
The actress claimed that she lost almost RM 10,000 in the robbery and was also attacked when she resisted. However, the case has already been reported to the police and the actress is now under observation and treatment at the hospital.
Tong Bingyu’s manager revealed that the actress is thankful to still be alive, and is worried that her injury would affect the progress of her new film.
Meanwhile, when asked about the incident, Chrissie exclaimed, “I saw her injured photos and my heart really ached. Actually a girl shouldn’t be driving alone at night. Someone should accompany her and can help her if something happens.”
The actress added, “Originally, I should be travelling to Malaysia in June to wrap up filming. But now Bingyu is injured, I have to see how her condition is to know if it will impact the production.”
