In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Anita Mui’s passing, Hong Kong singer Denise Ho, who is the former apprentice of the late diva, will be launching a cover album with some of her mentor’s classic tracks and just recently filmed a new music video for her version of Anita’s “Those Who Have Left”.
As reported on Wenweipo website, on 30 September, the 36-year-old singer premiered the music video at a grand event that was attended by hundreds of fans and media.
Speaking to the media during the premiere, Denise expressed, “Although Anita Mui has left us for a while now, we still miss her very much. This album and song is a gift that we want to give her on this special occasion.”
The music video is a collaboration between movie director Stanley Kwan and award-winning art director William Cheung. It is set in an old Beijing residence and features Denise dressed up in Anita’s six most memorable looks.
It was stated that Stanley and William, both good friends of the late singer, were only too glad to help when Denise requested them to help her create a memorable music video for the song.
Meanwhile, the music video can be viewed on Denise Ho’s official YouTube channel.
