Kim Hyun Joong is set to break the record by any performing artist in Singapore by offering the closest interaction with his audience during his mini-concert on May 4.

Originally, only 500 lucky fans would be picked to high-five with him through a ballot. However, Kim Hyun Joong has personally requested to extend this to everyone in attendance, meaning a whopping 3000 fans will now get the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the star! This is an unprecedented gesture from a pop idol.

High-five sessions are normally private sessions that are open to only a small group of fans as part of the fan-meeting package. Fans would either pay a premium fee to enjoy the chance for interaction with their favorite artiste or pray that their lady luck shines on them brightly for them to be picked through a lucky draw.

However, Kim Hyun Joong has taken this a step further by expressing his wish to high-five every single member of the audience.

“This is a very special request we’ve received, which proves Kim Hyun Joong’s immense devotion to his fans. We are glad that fans in Singapore will get a very personal touch – pun intended – with Kim Hyun Joong; but we’re also excited that all members in the audience will be part of a record-breaking moment,” says Wendy Ng, Executive Producer of Running Into The Sun.

On top of that, Kim Hyun Joong will also be giving away to everyone in the audience one set of the U:ZOOSIN T-shirt and brooch, a cartoon avatar created by Kim Hyun Joong himself. These will be specially made for his fan meeting tour. U:ZOOSIN has sold 50,000 units in Korea alone, boasting approximately USD1,900,000 in sales.

It’s been more than a year since his last visit to Singapore and fans of Song Joong Ki will be delighted to know that Korea’s sunshine boy will be back this May for his inaugural Asia Tour fan meet.

Presented by Colored Rhythms Events together with Sidus HQ and HS Media, Song Joong Ki’s “Thrill & Love” event will be held at the iconic and newly revived Kallang Theatre, where fans will be able to meet the star up close through autograph and high five sessions on May 20 as well as a public appearance at Marina Square on May 19.

Song Joong Ki made his acting debut in 2008’s film, Frozen Flower, and gained exposure through his hosting gig in KBS music show, Music Bank. He became a household name when he starred as the cheeky Goo Yong-ha in hit TV series, Sung Kyung Kwan Scandal in 2010, and most recently as King Sejong in Deep Rooted Tree last year.

Apart from his serious acting roles, the 26-year-old displayed a different side of himself through their missions and group activities in his stint as a permanent fixture on the rib-tickling Korean variety programme, Running Man.

This certified “umchina” (Korean slang for a perfect man good in everything) was recently chosen by Arirang TV and MBC’s Section TV as one of the brightest Hallyu stars to watch out for in 2012. Dubbed the CF darling in Korea because of his clean image, Joong Ki was also named as one of the top seven commercial endorsers in Korea by a Korean online news site.
