Girls’ Generation Taeyeon Dating Scandals With JYJ‘s Junsu, Kangin & More

Girls’ Generation, as a group, had many members become involved in romantic relationships over the years. Taeyeon has been, since debut, one of the members to always have some sort of a dating rumor following her around.

One of Taeyeon’s earliest dating scandal dates back to 2008. Her first rumor involved JYJ‘s Junsu. The rumor blew up when Girls’ Generation and the original five-member TVXQ held a collaborative performance and the two seemed to be interacting on stage. Fans captured the moment which made it seem Junsu and Taeyeon are holding hands on stage.

When some pictures of the two touring Los Angeles went viral, some became completely convinced there is something between these K-Pop idols. Of course, SM Entertainment did not release any official statements regarding this dating rumor and fans defended both Taeyeon and Junsu to be agency friends.

When Taeyeon and Super Junior‘s Kangin hosted a radio show together in 2009, they had such a strong chemistry that slowly persuaded the listeners to believe they were more than co-hosts. The two snapped tons of pictures together all of which make Taeyeon and Kangin seem quite close, if not intimate. Neither of the two stars spoke about the rumor, but some speculation that the two were involved during this time remains.

By 2010, Taeyeon became involved in another dating scandal with another Super Junior member, Leeteuk. Speculation first came up as fans spotted the two artists wearing the same earrings. Then Taeyeon and Leeteuk were seen carrying the same bag and rumor spread quickly. Leeteuk later appeared on Radio Star and explained the earrings were not couple items and they happened to have purchased the same designs from different stores. He pointed out he was first to buy the earrings.

Years later, in 2014, Taeyeon’s most shocking dating news broke. Dispatch released pictures from Taeyeon and EXO‘s Baekhyun on a private date in Taeyeon’s car. After the photos went extremely viral, Taeyeon and Baekhyun admitted to being in a relationship, becoming the first public SM Entertainment couple. The two unexpectedly faced a tremendous amount of criticism because of the way fans felt about their Instagram posts that have apparently been for each other. The two dated for a year and four months before breaking up in 2015.

n 2015, Taeyeon had a dating rumor go viral with BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon, though brief. A “jjirashi (찌라시, tabloid news)” revealed that G-Dragon and Taeyeon fell in love with each other because Taeyeon reminded G-Dragon of his first love. To this rumor, both artists’ agencies have denied the suspicions and stated, “None of it is true. We aren’t quite sure why such rumor spread.”

Still, well into 2016, fans continued to put together a list of Instagram posts that seemed to hint at their relationship, especially because G-Dragon and Taeyeon are both avid social media users and aren’t quite the shyest to secretly displaying affection on Instagram. Fans grew convinced, even after the agencies’ confirmations, that the speculations could be true.

Since 2016, Taeyeon has not been involved in any other major dating scandal. While all, except her official relationship with EXO’s Baekhyun, have been proven to be only rumors, Taeyeon has had her fair share of dating scandals and remains one of the few girl group members whose name is associated with so many male idol names

SHINee‘s Key Invited Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon Over For Dinner

SHINee‘s Key invited Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon over for dinner on his Cheongdam KEYchen show. Over good food and dessert, Key and Taeyeon looked back on their past songs.

As every SONE knows, Taeyeon admitted once again that she hated promoting ‘Gee’ because it didn’t fit her personality and taste. But she recognizes the important meaning it holds for Girls’ Generation as a group, so she treasures it dearly.

“Even so, it was the song that was able to appeal Girls’ Generation to the public so it’s a treasured song.”

— Taeyeon

Key, in turn, revealed that he hated promoting ‘Hello’. It also clashed with his personality, but he looked back to realize that it was an important stepping stone for SHINee.

“I really hated promoting ‘Hello’. Thinking back on it now, it was a song that we needed. But I really hated performing it back then.”

— Key

Key also hated promoting one of SHINee’s most famous songs, ‘Ring Ding Dong’! He hated it not because of music taste and genre, but because of its addictive spell that never left his head!

“It wasn’t a problem of personal taste, but I had a difficult time during ‘Ring Ding Dong’. Everywhere I went, I heard ‘Ring Ding Dong’ playing. I didn’t even want to hear the song’s name.

I think I heard it over a million times. I would be sitting in a quiet car, but ‘Ring Ding Dong’ would be playing in my head.”

— Key

Key also asked Taeyeon if she ever thought one of her successful solo tracks wouldn’t do well. Taeyeon actually didn’t think ‘Why’ would succeed on the charts because she lacked confidence to be a solo artist that also dances on stage.

“I was [skeptical] about it. It wasn’t bad – and I like it now – but it was a rare solo track of mine that had choreography to it.

I felt burdened during ‘Why’ promotions because there was choreography. I felt the need to do well as a solo artist who also dances.”

It appears that she had gone to see the musical in order to support her fellow SM artist, EXO‘s Suho, who was one of the lead characters.

As soon as the post went live, netizens claiming to be EXO fans began attacking her for going to see a member of the group. Many of these malicious attackers are referring to her past relationship with Baekhyun, where she received backlash from EXO fans.

Some netizens have been feeling sorry for Taeyeon as she alone seemed to be receiving excessive criticism for the post. Not much was said when Baekhyun went to see Seohyun’s musical performance.

Moreover, a number of female celebrities also went to support Suho at his musical without facing backlash from netizens.

After seeing what these alleged EXO fans have done to Taeyeon, a large group of EXO-Ls came to her defense and shamed those who criticized Taeyeon for her post.

Taeyeon Sexually Molested At Airport

Reblogged By: De De Tillman

The singer was mobbed by fans upon her arrival at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Indonesia on August 17.

The chaotic arrival was captured and documented by her fans online and angered many due to the unnecessary harm and distress caused towards Taeyeon.

“At the Jakarta airport, there was so many people in a crowd close together, feet and bodies kept on getting tangled up with each other. It was a dangerous situation where I fell on the floor shaking and couldn’t stop my tears. The local security guard thought it was a dangerous situation so he lifted me up, which was also very baffling and surprising.

I was very tense due to the body contact from both behind and from the side. There was no order (at the airport) and people who were waiting for me also fell down. Some of them may have even gotten hurt, so my heart does not feel good (right now). And it might not have been intentional, but parts of my body such as my butt and chest kept getting touched, bumped in to, or grabbed… That feeling made me embarrassed and I lost my senses. Because of that, I could not arrive at Jakarta, where I have not been for a while, with a good image. I am so sorry to the fans who were waiting. Please keep order so nobody gets hurt. Our fans have more love, affection, and understanding for each other, more than anyone else, so I will consider today as a happening (one-time event). I hope that no one gets hurt.

High1 Seoul Music Awards has officially posted an apology on their official website on January 23rd, following the shocking stage accident involvingTaeyeon the day before.

The music award show writes on their website’s front page, “Please accept our apologies for the incident, Taeyeon. In regards to the celebrations on January 22nd at Korea’s grand celebration the ‘24th High1 Seoul Music Awards,’ which was held at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium, girl group Girls’ Generation – TaeTiSeo’s Taeyeon had an unexpected accident while exiting the stage, to Taeyeon, the members, their agency, and to fans, we sincerely apologize.

We will explain the accident overview.

The accident occurred when the lift installed on stage was lowered hastily, as Taeyeon was exiting the stage following the members accepting their Bonsang and “Holler” stage.

Due to mis-communication, the stage crew had the lift lowered 1m halfway its full length of 1.8m, and Taeyeon missed her steps and fell down the lowered lift. The TaeTiSeo members Tiffany and Seohyun and the backup dancers immediately noticed and pulled her back up on stage. The stage team explained, ‘Due to the delays, the accident occurred when there were attempts to hurry up [to catch up] the event.’

Taeyeon received minor injuries due to her fall down the stage. She was immediately taken to the hospital for a checkup. She was diagnosed with ‘minor back muscle injury.’ Taeyeon returned home after being treated and checked.

The Seoul Music Awards organization committee has contacted SM Entertainment on January 23rd to give our sincere apologies to the members and Taeyeon, and have given our promise to cooperate with any follow-up necessary. In response, SM Entertainment said, ‘Taeyeon’s extent of her injuries are not serious. Thank you for following up.’

Despite the Seoul Music Awards’ many efforts for safety through rehearsals and safety training, this accident still occurred unexpectedly, and we would like to extend our sincere apologies to Taeyeon, the members, the agency, and fans. In addition, we sincerely hope, like fans, that Taeyeon makes a complete and successful recovery.”

Following TaeTiSeo’s “Holler” stage, the group proceeded to exit stage right when the middle stage lift was prematurely lowered causing Taeyeon to suddenly fall through. Staff and dancers, along with Tiffany and Seohyun, were seen immediately coming to her aid. Fortunately, according to updates fromSM Entertainment, Taeyeon suffered from a pulled muscle and is currently home resting as not to stress her injury.
