IU‘s agency has released a statement revealing that they have taken action towards malicious commenters as well as those who are spreading composite photos of the singer.
LOEN Tree officials said on November 19th, “On the 17th, we have filed a complaint against the publishers of the malicious comments and the distributors of the false composite photos (of IU) to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.”
In 2013, the culprit who spread a malicious rumor about IU was caught but upon an agreement, was given 200 hours of community service and the complaint was dropped. However, LOEN Tree warns that this time around, they will not show leniency towards the culprits this time around.
Earlier this month, a composite photo of IU began spreading but was proven to be photoshop. The photo was originally taken at IU’s fan meeting but was composited as if she was performing in lingerie. The agency has been busy tracking down the original poster since then.

Actor Oh Ji-ho held a fan meet in Tokyo on June 2 titled “Beginning of a New Journey” and took to the stage by singing the song “I Am a Man” which he sang for the OST of the drama “Strangers 6“.
“This is the first time that I’ve sung in front of so many people, so excuse me if I was a little bit nervous”, explained Oh.
During the talking portion of the fan meet, Oh opened up about his latest productions.
“We are wrapping up production of ‘Gone with the Wind’ and it is set to hit cinemas in September”, Oh said.
Oh also briefly mentioned the drama “The Third Drama” in which he will star alongside Choi Soo-young from Girls’ Generation.
On the topic of idol groups, Oh was asked which boy band he’d most like to be in, if he was given the choice.
The 36-year old actor set the fans head a-spin by replying, “Super Junior seems like a cool group, but then I’d have to choose TVXQ as there are fewer members and I’d want the spotlight”. According to, Hancinema.

After months of anticipation, DSP Media’s newest idol group A-JAX has finally hit the airwaves with their official debut mini-album. Gone are their trainee days, documented by the reality show Making the Star, where fans were able to catch a rare glimpse into the intense preparation and competition that idols must overcome in the hopes of one day becoming big pop stars. These days the members of A-JAX are fully immersed in the difficult rookie stage, and while they may look like your typical male dance group on the surface, do they have what it takes to set themselves apart from the pack?
Earlier this month, a pre-debut music video featuring KARA‘s Goo Hara was uploaded to A-JAX’s official YouTube Channel, showcasing the members’ above-average vocal talent without having them actually appear in the MV. Very smart move by DSP since typical dance/pop debuts tend to rely more heavily on visuals and choreography as opposed to vocals, especially when most ballad debuts have a tougher time capturing audience attention. Lucky for them, A-JAX can now focus on a dance-heavy release without having to worry about proving their musical skills at the same time.
Debut single and mid tempo dance track “One 4 U” is an aggressive declaration of unrivaled love and devotion. We’ve heard plenty a love song in the last few months, but the message is even more convincing when reinforced with epic strings and electric guitar as on this record.
A-JAX – “ONE 4 U” MV
The mythical music video for the debut single is fitting for the group named after the legendary Greek hero. According to numbers thrown around earlier this week, $42,500 USD was the assumed cost of making this MV, but as it turns out, that price tag was just for the CG effects. Whoa.

Boy band TVXQ finished their Japanese tour on a high note on Monday, ending a journey they began in January that saw them cover nine cities including Yokohama, Fukuoka and Nagoya.
They wrapped up the tour with three performances in as many days at the 45,000-capacity Kyosera Dome in Osaka. Thousands of fans packed the area near the stadium for hours before the concerts began, and many stood and cheered throughout the three-hour-long shows.
This tour was TVXQ’s first solo concert in Japan since 2010, when the pop quintet downsized to a two-man band after the other members left to form JYJ. The duo’s agency, SM Entertainment, said, “The 26-show tour attracted a total of 550,000 concertgoers and brought in around W100 billion in ticket revenues and merchandise sales (US$1=W1,140)”.
No other Korean group has attracted an audience of this size on a Japanese tour, it added.

The longest running K-pop idol group in history, Shinhwa, recently topped a music chart, beating much younger idol groups. Debuted in 1998 with six members, the group is making a legend as their team name suggests. Shinhwa means the Korean word for myth or legend.
On the episode of Mnet’s M!Countdown that aired on April 19, the six-member group ranked first with the single “Venus” from their tenth album Return.
The legendary group demonstrated the return of the king by ranking first toppling the formidable younger groups including SHINee, Busker Busker, and 4MINUTE.
The six members cried out of happiness for being on top after a four-year hiatus. Their loyal fans also swooned over the long awaited pleasure.
The long-running group gave a fantastic performance although there was an injured member in order to pay the reward to their faithful, ardent fans. Then, the six members attributed their success to their dear fans and promised to keep doing their best.
Getting ready to appeal to Asian fans, Shinhwa is to start an Asian tour with the kick-off in Shanghai on April 30.

After years of silent envy, East Coast K-pop fans finally caught a break with the crazy amount of K-pop concerts in the fall of 2011. But now it’s the West Coast’s time once again, and in a big way.
SM Entertainment’s stable of huge artists like Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, and TVXQ will be traveling to Los Angeles, California for a second time after their first appearance back in 2010. While the Hollywood Bowl and Staples Center get most of the attention from K-pop artists in SoCal, the venue this time around will be the Honda Center.
LA will be only the first stop of many for the tour which kicks off on May 20. The tour is also set to go to Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and various other Asian venues.
Speculation as to whether EXO will be at the concert in LA is all over the place, but there hasn’t been any official word as to the lineup of artists set to attend. The LA concert is also to be held jointly with MBC, with a broadcast titled “MBC Korean Music Wave in LA-SMTOWN SPECIAL!” to air sometime after the concert.
Tickets go on sale April 5, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible! Stay tuned for lineup details!
