According to SM Entertainment, ‘Sherlock,’ the title song of SHINee’s 4th mini album, is the definitive edition of the so-called hybrid remix, which mixes two independent songs into a new song. It will present a unique charm by making one feel like watching a musical and reveal the distinctive music color of SHINee, a contemporary band, who has been recognized for their fresh and experimental music and performances.
Especially, the lyrics tell the story of Sherlock, who solves a criminal case by combining the rational clue ‘Clue’ and intuitive ‘Note.’ Therefore, the song gives a smart charm by connecting the lyrics of the two different songs flawlessly into a piece.
Since the two songs ‘Clue’ and ‘Note,’ which make up ‘Sherlock,’ will also be included in the album and let listeners compare the hybrid remix version of ‘Sherlock’ and its original version, it is expected that the album will receive an explosive response from music fans.
Moreover, all the 7 songs in the mini album will be released worldwide on March 19th through Korean music websites and iTunes and the album ‘Sherlock’ will be available in stores from March 21st.
According to Nate, On March 16, SHINee released medley of tunes from its upcoming new album ‘Sherlock’ along with teaser images of the members in all-new style. This promotional video has been posted on SHINee’s official web site and online social sites such as Facebook and Kakao Talk Plus Friend.
SHINee’s ‘Sherlock’ is officially to be released worldwide on March 19 through various Korean music services and Itunes. Starting from Korea on March 21, the album will be available in stores in Asia, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Indonesia and China.
The title song, also named ‘Sherlock,’ will be sensational – the original ‘Hybrid Remix’ music is mixed with choreography by Tony Testa, a world renowned dancer who has also worked with Michael and Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue. SHINee makes a grand comeback on Mnet’s ‘M-Conutdown’ on March 22 and officially starts the promotion for ‘Sherlock.’
2AM is taking it old school with their upcoming comeback.
The group will be releasing their upcoming new album “A Fitzgerald-Style Love Story” in LP form (long-playing microgroove record commonly used on gramophones).
To produce such a record, the production cost per unit will be five times more expensive than CD production and even take 8-9 weeks longer. On top of that, there are no longer any LP production factories left in the country, presenting some serious hurdles.
According to the group’s agency Big Hit Entertainment, “We wanted to present a more analogue feel fitting for the emotional ballad and thus we’re going ahead with it despite the time and financial costs. Because there are no longer any LP production factories in Korea, we’re in the process of ordering from the US.”
The new LP-form album will be available for pre-orders online starting from March 7th. It will take two months, with a delivery date slated for May 15th.
2AM will make a comeback with their “A Fitzgerald-Like Love Story” album on March 12th.
Korean singer-music producer Tony An, best known for being part of Korea’s legendary first-generation boy band, H.O.T, will be returning to his roots as a performer and will become a member of the idol group, Smash, reported Korean media.
An’s earlier tweet in January, which hinted at the possibility of him working together in a new group “for the first time in eight years”, sparked speculation among his fans that H.O.T would be re-uniting.
But it appears his fans have got it all wrong.
An is currently working as the main producer of Smash’s new album, and will be joining the sextet during their promotional activities, after the album drops in March.
Created by An, Smash made their debut under An’s entertainment company TN Entertainment in 2008.
