According to The Sun, Ruth, who performed Promise This by Cheryl Cole in the live show, said: “Backstage, everyone else knew what they were wearing, except me.
“People had their performance outfit on — I was still in my camouflage jacket, jeans and socks. I was supposed to wear a lovely cream, angelic dress and it was changed at the last minute.
“It was hectic. I hadn’t eaten all day — two meals were cooked for me but I wasn’t able to have them.
“All this stuff affected my performance.”
Despite her criticisms she said it was a BETTER experience than X Factor in 2010, where she failed to make it through to the live shows.
She said: “The team seemed a lot more genuine and really cared about you as an artist.”
And she added: “I learned a lot — working with Jessie was a really fantastic experience.”
Last night, a BBC insider insisted: “Editorially, both Ruth-Ann’s performances and feedback have been fairly represented on The Voice.”
On her claims about votes, a BBC spokesman said: “There were no reported issues. The vote was scrutinised and independently verified.”
And last night’s show saw her booted off after her mentor saved alopecia sufferer Toni Warne instead.
But student Ruth claimed editing of judges’ comments during the show’s earlier stages was unfair.
She said: “The comments of the judges play a big part in whether the public want to vote for you or not.
“In my blind audition and the battle round the last comments people saw of me were negative, but the judges had said positive things.
“I thought that was really unfair and didn’t make any sense. It’s unprofessional.
“They didn’t show my full performances or my comments — everyone else had their comments shown.”
Singling out Will.i.am for criticism the Londoner added: “Last week he said a lot of people were pitchy but then he said it doesn’t matter.
“But with me, he made it a big thing. The public love the judges and they’re going to go by what the judges say.”
She also claimed some fans couldn’t vote for her via phone and text on Saturday, adding: “Back home last night a lot of people told me their votes weren’t getting through.”
