Cassiopeia can start their countdown, because TVXQ is finally coming home after two long years.

It’s been a long wait since TVXQ‘S Changmin and Yunho went on hiatus to enter their mandatory military service. Cassiopeia around the world have been counting down to their release, but questions about whether a comeback would happen once they were both discharged were left unanswered.

The new year marks big moves for SM Entertainment, with TVXQ returning from the military, Super Junior regaining several members, S.E.S making their comeback, and new group NCT127 continuing their upward trend.

On October 1st, Yunho performed at the Ground Forces Festival covering “서쪽하늘”(Western Sky)” and TVXQ’s “Dream.” At the festival he told the fans in attendance, “Wait for my comeback with Changmin.”

On December 22nd, rookie male group Pure Boy has taken to the streets as they protest for the reunification of all five TVXQ members, Jaejoong, Yunho, Changmin, Junsu and Yoochun.

Pure Boy took their demonstration the streets of Myungdong, citing that the five members of TVXQ have opened the way for Korean artists to further spread their activities into Japan.

The members held a sign that read, “We want to see a five-member TVXQ take the stage once.” Member Hyo Bin commenting that it is the wish of hundreds of thousands of fans around the world to see. In the cold weather, the four members of Pureboy took turns picketing in the streets of Myungdong, alternating for a span of approximately six hours.

Holding the position of rapper in the group and hails from Los Angeles, Ha Young said, “I grew up dreaming of becoming a singer watching TVXQ sunbaes. With in the Korean-American community, TVXQ was our pride and dream. I couldn’t have been more shocked when I heard of their separation, I was going into high school at that time. TVXQ as five was the real king of K-pop in the states and was the best of the best.”

IT Entertaiment’s headquarter director,  Go Chul said, “TVXQ as 5 in the past was the pride of all Korean communities including Japan and the States. Foreigners wanted to make Korean friends from their interest in TVXQ, some acquaintances from 10 years past called me to try to learn Korean and they were the center of attention everywhere. They made me proud of being a Korean for a few years and I was so happy.”

The agency’s co-CEO Park Sang Hyun also gave his thoughts, saying, “TVXQ is a once in a century kind of idol group. To see them perform on stage as five once more is the hope of millions of Koreans everywhere and billions of fans everywhere. If we could convert the amount of effect they had on Korea as a brand over the past years, it would be over hundreds of billions. To help Korea shine and to help Korea benefit, I wish the members from the two companies could come together and sincerely make up. With their military service coming up right now, I feel, this is their last chance to do so. I hope the fans who have been divided can come together and aid in the creation of an atmosphere where TVXQ can come together once again.”

Currently, the original members of TVXQ are split and promoting in two groups, TVXQ consisting of Yunho and Changmin, and JYJ consisting of Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu. JYJ separated from SM Entertainmentfollowing a contract dispute in 2010. Since then, they have been following group and individual activities under their agency C-JeS Entertainment.

Pure Boy is a nine-member male group that made their debut in April 2014 under IT Entertainment with the single “All Together,” and consists of members Ji Ho, Nan Kang, Hyo Bin, Jae Won, Young Bin, Jin Sung, Ha Young, Sang Min, and Sang Yoon.

According to a local online media outlet, it is possible that JYJ and TVXQmight be attending the same event on November 24th.

On November 24th, the movie Big Match will be holding its premiere in Wangsini, Seoul. JYJ, consisting of members Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu, if they were to attend, would be there to support the lead actor, Lee Jung Jae, who is from also a part of C-JeS Enteratainment. Whereas TVXQ, consisting of Changmin and Yunho, would be there to support BoA from SM Entertainment.

Since their split in 2009, JYJ and TVXQ have never attended the same event in order to not interfere with each others’ future activities. If both parties attend the premiere, it would be interesting to see how the organizers would have to plan and assign seating in order to avoid creating a tense atmosphere not only between the members but between the two agencies as well.

Meanwhile JYJ’s Junsu is gearing up for his solo concert 2014 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra Vol.3  on December 30th and 31st while TVXQ will be holding a two day live tour titled T1SToRY on December 6th and 7th.

MR.MR {K-Pop} 5 Member Band Practice To “TVXQ’s old-time classic “Mirotic”

MR.MR, comprising Changjae, Tey, Jin, Ryu, Doyeon, revealed what happens when they are in a practice room together, as well as a short snippet of them dancing to TVXQ’s old-time classic “Mirotic” and AOA’s recent hot issue, “Short Hair”.

Dressed in comfortable casual attire, the five members show their moves as they reveal what they have been rehearsing recently. From the starting warm-up to the synchronized dance movements, MR.MR showed that they can have fun during their dance rehearsals. The members show their freestyle moves and show all-smiles as they tease their viewers with hip-thrusts and body waves.

Members Tey and Changjae were featured dancing to AOA’s “Short Hair”, showing their ability to mimic the distinctive dance points on the group’s sexy and cute concept. After which, the group also showed a snippet of them rehearsing for TVXQ’s “Mirotic”, which recently became a popular track amongst idol groups to cover.

At the “2014 Hallyu Dream Festival” held last month, B.A.P‘s Daehyun, BTOB‘s Eunkwang, VIXX‘s Leo, and GOT7‘s Youngjae teamed up to perform a special stage, doing a vocal cover of “Mirotic”. It sparked a lot of interest in the public, as the fancam version and official broadcast version show that this cover could be the closest to the original one.
