The internet has gone crazy reacting to photos of 2NE1’s Bom in a rare public sighting since hiatus.
On October 20th, a fan taken photo and video of Bom sparked a lot of discussion online as she was spotted leaving YG Entertainment’s building. The photos were proof of the singer’s rare public sighting since making her hiatus following her drug controversy.
Fans were quick to comment their delight on seeing her in the public after a long time, while some argued the authenticity of the clip. The owner of the original clip was quick to clarify that the video was taken on October 19th.The news, however, left some fans to start speculations on her sudden reappearance.
YG Entertainment has released the official poster for the final match of “MIX & MATCH.”
After undergoing vigorous training and experiencing various types of evaluations, all nine trainees will be holding their final match on October 22nd. According to YG Entertainment today, it was confirmed that “MIX & MATCH’ will hold their final match at Korea University’s Hwajung Gym in Seoul, South Korea at 8PM KST.
Big Bang, 2NE1 and other artists are confirmed to attend the event.
Meanwhile, the final match will determine the four remaining members that will join Bobby, B.I and JInhwan to form, iKON. The votes accumulated during the fan meeting and voting event held in Japan, China and South Korea will be included in the final evaluation of the show. The final voting will be held in Seoul, South Korea on October 17th.
The full episode for “MIX & MATCH” will be aired simultaneously on Mnet and Naver.
Park Bom’s alleged drug smuggling case four years ago. In a report by KBS News, the 2NE1 member was caught for attempting to bring in approximately 80 amphetamine pills into Korea from the United States in Oct 2010.
Amphetamines are strong central nervous system stimulants that are sometimes used to treat conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Although they are used for medicinal purposes in some countries, distribution of the drug is banned in Korea.
2NE1 will be holding an after party in Japan after their Japanese tour “All or Nothing” at Yokohama Arena on the 5th and 6th of July, and at Kobe World Memorial Hall on the 12th and 13th of July.
After their show at Yokohama Arena, 2NE1 have announced that they will be holding an after party on the 6th of July at Tokyo, Shibuya’s “Sound Museum Vision”, and on the 13th, after their show at Kobe World Memorial Hall, they will be opening an after party at “Owl Osaka”.
2NE1’s CL is set to go nude for their music video for “Missing You.”
On November 20th, it was revealed that CL have her body exposed in the official music video for their upcoming track, “Missing You.”
According to the agency, this will be the first time that the group will be displaying a different transformation, appearing more sexy and charismatic on this round of promotions. They are aiming to be more mysterious in the music video as CL portrays a woman’s outer beauty and inner sorrows.
For the past few days, YG Entertainment has been releasing solo audio teasers for the group’s latest track, while 2NE1’s Bom and Park hinted on their recent press conference that one member did not cost a cent in terms of style and outfit.
2NE1’s “Missing You” music video will be released on November 21st, midnight.
2NE1 will hold their first stage for “DO YOU LOVE ME” on SBS Inkigayo this August 7th.
Meanwhile, Yang Hyunsuk also released information on Big Bang’s Seungri’s new solo album. It was confirmed that he will be releasing his second mini-album on August 19th. The new release will have a total of six new tracks with Seungri participating in the composition and production.
Seungri will be promoting the track “I Have Something To Say (할말 있어요) and is described to be a house music track. The music video was directed by Han Samin, the same director from Big Bang’s “Blue,” “Bad Boy” and “Monster.”
With the release of his album, Seungri will continue promotions until the end of September. After which, he will be releasing his solo album in Japan and will continue promotions there.
Brown Eyed Girls returns to the local music scene with the release of their new digital single, Recipe.
On July 9th, Brown Eyed Girls officially released their new digital single through various music portrays, unveiling their new sound. “Recipe” is a track produced by Primary with lyrics written by Dynamic Duo’s Choiza and Brown Eyed Girls’ Miryo.
Since the release, “Recipe” has been impressively proving strong on the music charts, ranking atop and beating 2NE1’s “Falling in Love.”

It was revealed that “Stairway to Heaven” actor Lee Wan was officially discharged from the military.
As reported on Allkpop website, on 23 April, an event was held at Defense Agency for Public Information Services in Yongsan to celebrate Lee Wan’s discharge. Despite the uninviting weather, the media and his fans – both local and international came to welcome his return.
The actor, who is also actress Kim Tae-hee’s brother was asked about the absence of his sister, to which he answered jokingly, “She didn’t come to see me although she lived nearby. She didn’t even know I was being discharged today when I called her. She kept talking about how she broke her computer instead.”
He also enthused that Kim Tae-hee helped him a lot during his time in the military, “When I was serving in the military, I gave nearly 2,000 autographs of my sister away so I could have an easy time in the military!”
And in the “traditional” obligatory question asked to all stars that were discharged from the military, Lee Wan was also asked which girl group he liked the best. He replied, “I like 2NE1, and I even had their picture up in my cubby. Park Bom is my favourite member, and she was a great source of strength during my service.”
