LEDapple continues to release their string of cover videos as part of their online project series, “Music Note,” with their latest featuring member Hanbyul singing Adele’s hit track, “Someone Like You.”
The beginning of the video features Hanbyul practicing the chorus to the track by himself in a recording room. Singing the track as if it was his own, Hanbyul showcases his passionate vocals with the Adele track.
Ending the track on a soft but passionate note, Hanbyul unfortunately does not end the video with a hint of what’s to come on next week’s video.
This year’s Billboard Icon Award is going to legendary singer, songwriter and producer Stevie Wonder. The honor will be presented at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, which airs live May 20 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET from the MGM Grand Arena.
With memberships in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Wonder is one of the most celebrated artists in popular music history. Since bursting onto the scene in 1963 at age 13 with the chart-topping hit “Fingertips (Pt. 2),” Wonder has amassed 32 No. 1 singles and released a string of iconic albums including “Songs in the Key of Life,” “Talking Book” and “Music of My Mind.”
Wonder follows in the footsteps of fellow legend Neil Diamond, who was given the Icon Award at the 2011 ceremony.
Hosted by Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell of the ABC hit comedy “Modern Family,” the BBMAs will also have a star-studded roster of presenters this year. Brandy and Monica, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sara Ramirez, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne join previously announced presenters Taio Cruz, Gavin DeGraw, Gladys Knight, Julianne Hough, Natasha Bedingfield and Jeremy Sisto, along with musical acts Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado, Usher, CeeLo Green, Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, LMFAO and The Wanted.
Adele, LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne are the leading finalists for awards. Adele takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories, while LMFAO is a finalist in 17 categories. Rihanna lands in 13 categories this year, after leading the pack with 18 category appearances in 2011. Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne each snagged a spot in 10 categories.
Tickets for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards are now on sale at Ticketmaster.com and MGMGrand.com. The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will be co-executive produced by Richard D. Beckman, CEO of Prometheus Global Media and Don Mischer Productions.
An angry Adele gave the middle finger at the Brit Awards for music Tuesday night in London, two weeks after rapper M.I.A. gave the same obscene gesture at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Adele, 23, was picking up the best album award to go with her solo female honor and was giving her acceptance speech. “I am so proud to be British and to be flying the flag,” she was saying when host James Corden interrupted her to introduce the ’90s British pop band Blur.
The crowd booed and Adele digitally expressed herself. The multiple-Grammy winner explained that she wasn’t directing her scorn at the audience.
“I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans,” she said, according to the BBC.”I’m sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.”
According to TV Guide, LL Cool J will host the 54th Grammy’s. “I’m thrilled to be part of music’s biggest night,” LL Cool J said in a statement. “I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true.”
The 54th Grammy Awards ceremony airs live Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8/7c on CBS. Performers will include Adele, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson.
According to E! Online, Singer Adele will be under going throat surgery. Her record company announced the news this morning, saying that it is with “deep regret” that the singer has canceled all the remaining live dates and promotional appearances through the end of the year.
“She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected,” the statement read. “As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.”
British soul singer Adele has canceled another U.S. concert. According to US Weekly, she has a hemorrhage in her vocal chord.
Adele’s record label is reporting that the ten city tour was going to start in Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 7, 2011 and conclude in Grand Prairie, Texas on October 21, 2011.
Adele blogged on her vocal troubles, ” however when i got home and prepared to start my UK tour in september i developed a respiratory and chest infection which had nothing to do with any of my voice problems from before but still forced me to cancel 6 shows and a performance at the mercury awards. i was stuffed full of antibiotics, had some time to rest and in the end managed to do 9 shows of the 15. After them and once back home my voice yet again went. mid conversation and it just switched off! i have a hemorrhage again and it is paramount that i rest.”
Adele further states, “I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or i risk damaging my voice forever. i have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously i take it and how truly devastated and annoyed i am by this”.
My prayer goes out to this gifted singer to make a full recovery.

Eminem and Adele have both made music history by selling the most digital album sales. Eminem was the first music artist to reach one million digital album sales with his album “Recovery” but soon after one week, British sensation Adele surpassed Eminem by becoming the second music artist to sell one million digital album sales with her album “21”.
Adele’s album “21” has sold 2.5 million copies in the U.S. and Eminem’s album “Recovery” has sold 3.9 million copies in the U.S. and counting for both artist. Worldwide sales for Adele’s album has sold 9 million copies and Eminem’s album has sold over 6 million copies. Both artist albums is still climbing the billboard charts and music sales (digital and CD).
It was hard work and determination for Eminem and Adele to make music history. The music industry is a complicated place to accomplish music sales. For a long time, music was down in sales, mostly because of illegal downloading and etc… However, music still has a long way to go.
Eminem and Adele are bringing music sales back with the new age of music media called “digital”.
