40-year-old Kelly Chen is currently seven months pregnant. However, her body has not gone through major changes, sparking rumours that the actress might be undergoing a dieting regime despite being pregnant.
The actress, who has always been very self-conscious of her looks, now sports a small baby bump that appears as if she’s four months pregnant when in reality, she is seven months pregnant.
During the pregnancy of her first son, Chace Lau, in July 2009, Kelly had requested for a nutritionist to design a healthy low-fat pregnancy diet for her.
Now pregnant with her second son, nicknamed “Little Bun”, the actress was said to have hired the same nutritionist for her meals.
According to Hong Kong reports, Kelly diet is a low-fat and highly nutritious one which consist of milk, steam fish, vegetables, and eggs.
On the other hand, she was also instructed to stay away from tonics such as bird nest and fish maw.
Even though her small baby bump might be a cause of worry, insider sources from the Hong Kong tabloid suggested that it was part of Kelly’s intention, as “she is worried about getting fat”.
“Sometimes she (Kelly) would not drink milk, or cut her five-meal intake into three meals a day, this is why her baby is still very small in size,” a source commented.
