Thicke, 38, showed up on Wednesday night to a yacht party during the Cannes Film Festival with his much younger girlfriend, 20-year-old model April Love Geary, essentially putting their relationship out in the open.
Thicke and Patton parted ways last year, and Thicke made a very public and forlorn plea to win her back with his album Paula. That attempt ultimately failed; Patton filed for divorce in October 2014, and their divorce was finalized in March.

In words and song, Robin Thicke is still trying to woo back wife Paula Patton.
The soulful crooner’s latest plea was at his Atlantic City concert at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Sunday night.
As Thicke interacted with the crowd in the middle of his show, a fan yelled, “I love Paula!”
“I do too,” Thicke responded before belting out Al Green’s quintessential take me back song, “Let’s Stay Together.”
Thicke first paid tribute to the actress at his show in Washington D.C., on Thursday.
“I want everybody here to know that I’m trying to get my girl back,” he said before singing “Lost Without U,” his 2007 hit single that Patton inspired.
Patton has yet to publicly acknowledge his emotional cry to stay together. Meanwhile, she was all smiles at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday night – and looked radiant at Vanity Fair’s Annual Oscar party on Sunday night.
The couple have been married since 2005 and met while in high school. They are parents to son, Julian, 3½.

“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the couple said in a statement to People, which was first to report the news.
Thicke, 36, and Patton, 38, met when they were teenagers. They had a son, Julian Fuego Thicke, in April 2010.
A representative for the actress confirmed Monday that the pair are ending their 9-year marriage.

Sometimes, the best defense is an offense.
At least that’s the strategy that Robin Thicke, T.I and Pharrell Williams seem to be taking with their summer pop hit Blurred Lines.
An attorney for Thicke and collaborators Williams and Clifford Harris Jr (aka T.I.) filed a lawsuit Thursday, asking a federal judge to determine that their song Blurred Lines does not copy elements from two older songs from Marvin Gaye and Funkadelic (George Clinton).
This comes after Marvin Gaye’s family and Bridgeport Records’ alleged claims against the singers that the song sounds remarkably similar to Gaye’s Got To Give Up,demanding financial compensation for copyright infringement.
“Gaye defendants are claiming ownership of an entire genre, as opposed to a specific work,” the suit alleges.
Funkadelic, the George Clinton-led band that led the ’70s funk movement, has also allegedly claimed similarity between Thicke’s hit and Sexy Ways.
A copy of the suit obtained by The Hollywood Reporter reads:
“Plaintiffs, who have the utmost respect for and admiration of Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic and their musical legacies, reluctantly file this action in the face of multiple adverse claims from alleged successors in interest to those artists. Defendants continue to insist that plaintiffs’ massively successful composition, ‘Blurred Lines,’ copies ‘their’ compositions.”
